Only in China

So from Wednesday to Friday this week, the whole country of China celebrates “Mid-Autumn Moon Festival”.

I don’t have school on Wednesday to Friday BUT to make up for this holiday, the school rescheduled the classes for Saturday and Sunday.

This is what I’m talking about when some things just don’t make sense in this country. WHY would you reschedule the classes for the weekend? There’s no real holiday at all if you’re simply shifting the school days to the weekend. Bizarre, bizarre, bizarre this country, really.

Oh and everyone eats “moon cakes” during these times, one of my students gave me a really expensive box full of them, I had one bite and spit it out it. Not my kind of snack.
