Doesn’t make sense at all. It was so sunny about 10 minutes ago and now there’s thunder and lightning and heavy rains. Hangzhou is going through whats called the “Plum Shower” season which means tons and tons of rain….the size of plums! Motorcycle alarms go off everywhere, wonder if maybe a car alarm or two will go off as well?
Studying for finals is insane, I’m writing...

Trip to Guilin, China is BOOKED! 20 hours on a train each way, going all the way south. Hopefully we’ll get to stay in some crappy little villages, see the real China, and view some of the most beautiful scenery the country has to offer. Gonna be on the road for 5 nights and gonna try and document the entire experience.
Now back to studying for finals..

Just got back from a Mcdonalds with a few friends(2 Americans, 1 German, and 1 New Zealander). I was looking at the “foreign menu” and the cashier snatched it out of my hands and said in Chinese “The foreigner needs it more than you do!” in a nasty voice and gave it to my German friend.
She thought I was Chinese.

So there is a holiday coming up and the school is giving us Monday - Wednesday off. Cool right?
Not really because to make up for those classes we have class today (saturday) and tomorrow (sunday).
How does that even make sense? Making us go to class on the weekend? Even on Sunday? I don’t get it.

It’s pretty crazy. My class of 15 students didn’t know how to speak a word of Chinese when we all started 3 months ago. Now we’re having conversations in Chinese and reading text.
