Biking Capital of the World
Yeap, bought a bicycle today with a friend. I was actually one of the last of my friends to get one but I’m pretty stoked to ride around the city with them. Rode my bike home from the bike shop and my biking skills are nowhere near what they were when I was a kid. Gonna work on that for the next few weeks….pics of my sweet bike when it’s sunny out.
Yiwu - Accessory Capital of China
Ahhh the test. Okay so I kind of blanked out on some of the characters I KNEW the day before. Didn’t do horrible but I definitely thought I could have done better…oh well. Learn from your mistakes, and try harder next time right?
Went to Yiwu, a city about 2 hours away from Hangzhou this past weekend to check out the accessories capital of China. This place really had everything. The...

Few Days With the Abba
My dad came to China for a few days. He’s been living in Los Angeles the past year but came for business for a week or so and then returned to New York.
Hangzhou is filled with BALLERS. I’m always so curious what all these people do to get rich in China. If you can afford a Lamborghini HERE, you really really got some money in the bank.
I get a lot of really cool interior design...
Wow
Didn’t realize this until now but I’ve been here for exactly a month already.
I’ll be home in no time..
Xihu Is Amazing
Went Friday morning to Xihu or in English the “West Lake” Hangzhou’s most popular weekend spot. It’s bigger than Central Park I think and also more beautiful..in my opinion. Tons of cool little spots, different kinds of tree’s and flowers, and the whole place was just made really well. We only went to one small part of the West Lake but it was really nice.

First Haircut in China 0.0
Damn, that time came. My hair grew long enough until I couldn’t stand it anymore and I had to cut it. I tried holding off as long as I could because I heard the Chinese barbers are absolutely horrible at cutting hair. My friend told me the salon place right across from my dorm was “pretty good” so I decided to go there with him.
I walked in and saw 3 dudes with the craziest...

A Day In Shanghai
I went to Shanghai on Saturday with the church I attend here in Hangzhou. Only spent 1 day there but did a bunch of things. Shanghai is such an amazing city…for real. I want to study there next semester if I can.
Went to another “fake” market. I was taking pictures and video footage as soon as I got there but the workers there called the security on me! They told me I...
A Night Market In Hangzhou..
Went to a street mall with tons of stuff (including lots of fakes) a few days ago. Place was packed with people, full of shouting, bargaining, and all that other Chinese goodness.

My Room
My bed - yes I have a Rutgers blanket. Jen gave it to me a while ago and it’s mad warm so I brought it with me to China. It gets freezing at night so it really keeps me warm. I rarely made my bed in the States but for some reason I make it everyday in China.
It’s been raining everyday in China and its so humid that my towels don’t dry properly in my bathroom which is why I got a drying bar.

Internet....Finally
Took me over a week to get freakin internet here in my dorm. I didn’t even get a chance to tell anyone that I arrived safely because I couldn’t find an international calling card either.
Anyways, China is amazing! I now have friends from over 11 countries and they are all really chill and fun to hang out with. Meeting new people is the shit, really. It’s so different hanging...
